Want to go east of Chatham for a day searching for the king of the North Atlantic? Or maybe south of the islands and look for small tuna and Mahi? Maybe even a canyon trip when we have a weather window? So do we, and we can make it a reality for you. We have all the offshore safety gear on multiple offshore boats. Both boats can fish any style, however we've had very good feedback from our anglers because we offer a choice in fishing styles. When there are smaller tuna around, Captain Devin and the Grady will often target them on light trolling gear and stand-up harnesses. This is often the best way to put meat on the deck and its hard to argue with the amount of water covered on the troll--plus it's awesome!
Captain Drew and the Regulator will primarily cast and jig big game spinning rods for tuna on the surface and below birds if appropriate size class fish present and when conditions allow. This style of fishing is humbling and addicting. We find the life and our goal is to put you on feeding fish. Active versus passive. Extremely challenging but incredibly rewarding. If you haven't fished like this before, you need to. We do have live bait rigs as well for all abilities and times when you need to keep lines in the water to get the bite. Even when it's slower, the amount of marine life and view keeps your attention focused. We can accommodate 3 anglers for casting trips and 4 anglers for bait/troll (6 on the Grady). We typically leave the dock under the cover of darkness and return after 6 hrs for the 1/2 day and 8-9 hrs for the full day trip. Tuna fishing is anything but guaranteed, but we had a good fall and were able to get our anglers tight to fish most days. Call or email and ask us about the current conditions offshore. NOTE* Our goal on charter tuna trips are to target and catch retainable small tuna. However, we can't control which ones bite.
Commercial Tuna Experience: The first ten days of Sept and Oct we target giants. If you are interested in being part of this experience, we will take a crew out with us. (3) angler maximum. $800 to participate in and play a roll in landing a giant. Early start and may be a full day out on the water. Bucket-list material and it takes teamwork. Please inquire about these trips because they are limited and revolve around open commercial fishing days.
